Eye Play Sport

Play, it’s more than just our middle name.

Play. It’s such a simple word. And it can be misconstrued as something frivolous. But as anyone who plays sport will tell you, what you put into it is never as much as what you get out of it. Yes, playing sport requires teamwork, determination, dedication and skill. But in return you receive joy, laughter, tears, heartbreak, friendship and moments to cherish forever.

When you’re blind or vision impaired, sport gives back even more.

That’s why, at Eye Play Sport, we believe that Australia’s 500,000 blind and visually impaired people have as much right to play sport as anyone else. Yes, they face more barriers and challenges than you and I do. But together, the will of an athlete and the generosity of a community can achieve remarkable things.

"The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision." – Helen Keller
